After 1 week (I quit this past Memorial Day, so I could remember it!) of freedom from nicotine, I actually had a cigarette (a butt actually) in my hand and ready to smoke. The phone rang and I went back inside to answer it and while on the phone I logged onto WhyQuit and joined Freedom instead of lighting that cigarette. After about 30 years of a 2 to 3 pack-a-day habit I'm a week into my new life. For fun I changed the dates in my quit meter back to the year I'd started smoking regularly. At today's prices I'd have spent $133,875.00. In other words, I've smoked the cost of a house!!!!!!! As of today I have been free from nicotine 1 Week, 23 Hours for a total financial savings of $101.67 with an additional 1 Day and 15 Hours added to my life!
