I am new as well, going on 3 months.

Sometimes when I feel really miserable and am predicting further, future misery for myself, I try to do a grateful parade and exercise the KISS principle. Keep it simple Simon.

I have food, I have shelter, I am not alone in life, I have health, I have life. I usually soon see someone who I feel quite sure would change places with me in a heartbeat.

Since April 10, my quit date, I have had some conversations with my husband that typically would never have happened in the past (baby steps) because I would have isolated myself by going off smoking.

Earlier today I happened to be thinking my husband and I seem to be on a happier plane the last few weeks and I wondered if it is coincidental with my not smoking or if my not smoking has had a positive effect on my marriage??????? I try not to go too deep into anything and simply say, hey this is pretty cool, I'm not smoking and I think I got it this time.

Did you read the Lido deck article yet? Sounds like you are clinging desperately on that rope and a nasty seagull might have a little upset stomach. Hold firm girl, it does get easier.
