I quit cold turkey on 10/1 after smoking for 30+ years about 1 pack a day. My cravings were actually not nearly as bad as I would've imagined within the first 72 hours, and my worst crave so far was on day 6 while standing in front of the mall entrance waiting for my wife and someone was standing pretty close and lit one up which I caught a strong whif of.
I had the smoking dream a couple nights ago and it just served to reinforce my commitment. My only other real physical symptoms so far have been a somewhat upset stomach for the past couple days and I also had a cold beginning the day after my quit which is just now finally away. One other thing is that before quitting I always used to eat one big meal per day around 6PM and now I'm getting hungry right after waking and eating a small breakfast as well as a couple snacks throughout the day before dinner. I weighed myself yesterday and actually was about 3 lbs. lighter than right before I quit! I found that unusual considering how much more I've been eating this past week.
