It's a new year so I'm recognizing/celebrating another smoke free year - - 8 to be exact.
I know exactly how I was able to achieve this success---It's all due to this website and the outstanding knowledge it contains, not to mention the dedicated staff who work each and everyday to keep it up and running. Could I have quit on my own without WHYQUIT/FREEDOM? Absolutely not. Knowledge truly is the key to understanding the transition that takes place. Stick to your commitment to be smoke free and it will be.
I know there are most likely a lot of new quitters on the board with New Year's resolutions and all, so let me say Congratulations to you and by all means encourage you to stick with it. Read, learn and absorb all you can. Go through the Freedom library over and over again until you've "got it". Quitting is not about the downside - - it's all upside potential. Keep your thoughts positive and moving forward. This is your time!
Back 'n the day I met a great bunch of quitters who inspired and showed me the way. To you all I say "Boooyaah!". We made it.
Wishing you all the best in your quits!
Shane (aka Gump). After 21 years of smoking, been free for 8. That is somewhere in the neighborhood of 64,000 not smoked.
