Hello Jelly:
While 70 days being smoke free doesn't sound like much to you, it sounds like an eternity to a person just contemplating quitting or in the middle of the first few days. If you think back to 67 to 70 days ago, it may have sounded that way to you too. It is good to try to reconstruct in your mind what those early days were like, and what your mindset was like when you were actively smoking and even considering quitting. If recalled accurately, you will probably realize that the level of intensity, duration and frequency of thoughts and urges about smoking are minimal to negligible now in comparison to when first quitting. You will realize how far you have come and more important, how far back you never want to go. To try to get a little perspective in the event you can't recall your own, listen to the people here who are in their first day or two, the nervousness, insecurities, and maybe even the physical and psychological turmoil that they seem to be experiencing and you will realize that you are thrilled to be 70 days past this point and never want to be at their stage of a quit again. To keep getting further healed and stronger and more secure as time goes on, always remember to never take another puff!
