Welcome Mick,
Well done! Not only have you made a decision that will change your daily life which then will change your life as a whole, you have educated yourself
AND
registered to start posting in a place that will keep you honest.
For some people it is just as simple as that...waking up one random day and thinking that you've had enough. I too am 32, and I can't help but feel so thankful that I chose to end a destructive path before a doctor had to tell me what physical result came from this path. I too stumbled upon this website and ate it up, the knowledge the hope, the shared experience, the reality. You've come to a good place, and have all the tools in front of you to be sucessful.
From your post, the one piece of advice I can give you is this - don't be afraid of having a hard time quitting, but also don't be afraid of
not
having a hard time quitting. Everyone has their own path in quitting - and everyone has ups and downs. If you continue to read here and post and recognize the thoughts you have and through all this you would qualifiy your quit as fairly easy than that is GREAT!!! I say this because your post sounded really positive and confident. Just trust what your quit offers you, whether it be easy or difficult, or mixtures in between.
Congrats on a great start, and have a good time on your week vacation!
