Hey
Melissa ,
Congratulations on starting your quit , I am in a similar situation than yourself as my wife is still smoking and I also respect her decision but hope she will quit sooner than later .
I also notice the smell,
not only on my wife but also other people whom I meet that smoke , I use this as a motivation as they do not smell nice. When I think back when I smoked , non smokers whom I met must have been smelling the same , yuk what a thought.
Anyway I think by using this type of negative experience to motivate me is a good thing , I also have found having smokes lying around the house a trigger some times , this is some thing we are going to encounter some time during our quit so I look on these types of issues as making us stronger and helping us get over allot of triggers sooner than later , like dealing with our addiction head on.
At this stage of your quit I would suggest just keep on reading this site as the info and support is invaluable .
I hope ya hang in there and I hope to see ya @ one month into your quit
Michael
