Update - It's hard to believe that it has been almost three months since I puffed that very last cigarette. It is unbelievable how much better I feel already! There are finally days that I only think about a cigarette once or twice and it isn't a craving as much as a not-so-fond remembrance. And I am becoming such a preacher!!! Somebody told me today that he couldn't quit because of job stress - when I explained that the nicotine didn't help the stress, he said that it sure helped him. I wanted to tell him how incredibly stupid that sounded until I realized that I used to say the same thing. Now I know that just walking away to have the cigarette was what reduced the stress, not the cigarette itself. So when things get stressful for me now, I just take a short walk around the office and come back to my desk ready to tackle it all again. I am eternally grateful for this group!!!! I am a NON-SMOKER and so very proud!!
I have been quit for 2 Months, 3 Weeks, 14 hours, 40 minutes and 13 seconds (82 days). I have saved $247.82 by not smoking 1,652 cigarettes. I have saved 5 Days, 17 hours and 40 minutes of my life. My Quit Date: 5/23/2006 11:00 PM
Thank you , thank you, thank you all for helping me succeed at this! NTAP works!!!
