Hi again Jean
It takes approximately 3 days for nicotine to leave your system. The other 4,000 chemicals (many of them carcinogenic) are also out by the 2 week mark. For more information regarding recovery from nicotine addiction, please download and have a read through Joel's legendary book - (

to download). As to your query regarding my first crave free day....well....that would be shortly after turning green. I had a bunch of crave free days between green and double green followed by a wee struggle around the time I hit bronze. But after that, it's been relatively smooth sailing. I say relatively because I do get the odd thought every (infrequent) now and then but I have not had a honest to goodness in your face nicotine crave since I guess my 4 month mark.
It is important to remember however that
Every quit is different
and that we will experience comfort on a continuous and sustainable basis at different quit times - but experience it
we all will
. That's the wonder of the Freedom guarantee. Have a look through any bronze or silver milestone celebration on the
Milestones
thread. I think you will fail to find anyone that is struggling with cravings at silver. This temporary period of physical and psychological readjustment is a miniscule burden to bear for the lifetime of comfort, peace and better health awaiting us on the other side.
Keep up the good work Jean.
Quitting with a positive attitude
is a fantastic way to increase the odds of a long term successful quit. Your positive approach will certainly serve you well.
