Welcome Nancy... A neighbor from Indiana here!
Congratulations on putting your fear of quitting smoking aside and making the best decision of your life. In case you missed it, you've already become those people you envy...the non-smokers<<<<
THATS YOU
! Your doing this right now as we speak.
Quitting doesnt have to be hard. I'm sure this quit is going to go a whole lot smoother than your previous ones because of the education you receive here. Just knowing and understanding what your body is telling you during the early days makes quitting easier, so dont let fear dictate what your going to do or not do.
What was your biggest fear when quitting?
<<(have a look at this string)
Keep your thoughts positive and focus on the benefits of quitting. For example:
Your blood pressure, pulse rate, and temperature of your hands have returned to normal
Your blood oxygen level has increased to normal and carbon monoxide levels have dropped to normal.
Damaged nerve endings have started to regrow and your sense of smell and taste are beginning to return to normal
Your entire body will test 100% nicotine free
Your body is physically adjusting to functioning without nicotine.
Your heart attack risk has started to decrease and your lungs are healing.
(Taken from the following string
Stop smoking benefits timetable
)
You can do this!
Shane!
