Oddly enough. I have a hard time believeing its only been 8 months for you. Since a long time ago, your message and postings have had such a sense of calmness that exudes years of quit time. Congratulations Star. You've not only quit the most horrible addiction on earth but you've managed to inspire a great many who ride in the wake of your turbulence. Your showing us the way, the way it should be traveled and embraced.
The administration of a drug to an addict will cause reestablishment of dependence upon the addictive substance a the old level of use or greater......
Hey just to shorten it: Never Take Another Puff!! It is a wonderful life free from my nicotine addiction..
For me, my attitude was "lets get one with it..give me your best shot...." "I want your best...give it to me now" Cause I know with each passing moment the momentum is building. Develop a little attitude in you quit, as described in: Using Attitude to Reduce Anxiety.
The only thing nicotine does is to make you want more of it.
Congratulations Star....You've accomplished something many never will, I'm looking so forward to that GOLD celebration. But truly were only as Good as we feel. What an inspiration....
Gump...Proud to have traveled this road with ya..
