I am on my 55th day clean and just wanted to stop in to post to those of you who are brand new in your quits that it just gets easier and easier each day with the NTAP philosophy.
On every other quit I ever did I always tortured myself with the thoughts of allowing myself 'just one.'
With NTAP, my mind is freer and my mood calmer as I just don't spend that time obsessing on nicotine anymore. This approach to quitting is the most rational and effective method for ridding yourself not just of nicotine but also of relapse-tending, nicotine-craving thoughts.
Stick with it and you'll get to see that for yourself. I am so glad that I did. What a relief it is to be rid of active addiction.
pat, swimming now (much stronger), 55 days clean and 1,100 cigarettes not smoked, saving about $220.00. And since my husband quit the day after me, that's about $436.00 saved in our household.
(And hopefully, we both will avoid the worst of the health problems we have risked.)
