Hi all,
Just popping in again to say thank you for the support and to add that yesterday was my 2 month Green anniversary and I didn't even know it until around 11:00 at night because I just don't think about smokes that much anymore.
How cool is that???
I am feeling seriously proud of accomplishing this and want to encourage all you brand-new newbies to read and really take in the messages here. Getting clean may very well save your life, and certainly will give you a host of additional benefits. The NTAP philosophy can set you free.
And it really does keep getting easier as time goes by, even though it might not feel that way at first. When any thoughts of nicotine do arise, I view the thought as a 'bubble' that comes to the surface and then just 'pops' and goes away into the atmosphere. I do not cling to the thought and so do not feed into the thought. This cuts any potential crave short and seems to have become effective at keeping craves away. The seduction of nicotine is an illusion when you stop and remember everything you learn here.
Stick with it, NTAP, and congrats to all you wonderful people in all of your quits!!!
pat, swimming now, 2 months Green and going for Bronze, Silver, and Gold. My choice every day.
