Hi Pat, yes I am still here! Great to hear you are doing so well! Like you I don't come on that often. I have recommended this site to several people as well, at least one of whom has quit cold turkey. That's wonderful that it worked for your husband too, and that you have each other for support. I have tried to get my sister to go this route also but she is convinced she cannot do it. She tried a couple of weeks ago but couldn't make it thru the first day because of the withdrawal symptoms. She plans to wean herself off cigarettes, I told her what I learned here about that method. She thinks different methods work for different people and that I am being narrow-minded and unsupportive. She refuses to come to this site so I'm here to bone up on some info that maybe I can pass along to her, like blood sugar issues. Wish me luck.
Thanks for the shout out!
Nadine
I have stopped nicotine for 3 months and 25 days. By not smoking 2346 death sticks, I have saved $589.32 and 8 days, 3 hours and 29 minutes of my life. Woo Hoo!
