I remember in the early days of mine & hubby's quits... we'd argue about something totally unrelated to smoking and he would tell me go ahead and smoke if I was going to be like that....... HA - I knew it was his junkie mind trying to get me to smoke so that he could relapse without the blame of being the one to relapse first. It only made my determination stronger! I had my own junkie mind to worry about!
Another trick - whenever he'd want attention - he'd tell me he was going to go buy a pack. Then - I would spend a bunch of time explaining all I learned on this site - that 1=all, etc... until I called him on it. I told him to go ahead and buy a pack... he didn't. Probably all this education I've been feeding him. lol
We are both doing wonderfully now & getting along much better. It is really nice to be a non-smoking couple!
