Hi there Josh (always loved that name)! The emotional changes took me by surprise too. I was expecting to be irritable, but didn't really expect the whole range of emotions to evolve and grow in amplitude the way they did. It's like not being able to hide from whatever you're feeling, most especially the uncomfortable feelings that used to trigger nicotine use. Feels uncomfortable? Go get a smoke.

I guess that's why the phrase "Coming home to me" kept going through my mind during the first couple months. Feels uncomfortable? Ride it out, think about it, deal with it, then let it go.

You will never regret finding freedom. Keep it up, remember the law of addiction and simply NTAP, NTAP, NTAP...
