Hi Angela -
I'm really not far ahead of you - last week was the third week of my quit - days 14 to 21 - It was the hardest 7 days of the whole quit - I was really moody and also felt HUGE!!! I climbed on the scales on morning and saw that i'd gained 9 lbs... I just got soooo low... I drowe my wife crazy and we rowed and rowed and rowed...
This week for some reason is so much better... For the first time I feel a sense of calm, little glimpses of how it could be... Those awful urges to eat and eat to start a row to release adrenalin... that foggy out of control feeling... it's all getting a little clearer and a bit more settled.
We have to believe what we read here from Gold members - It does get better - It's not magic it's science - Just like loosing weight...
Hang in there... i dont think it happens fast, it takes time... You see that's the trouble, as addicts we're all used to getting a quick fix... we want it now - well it's gonna take a bit longer than now - but it will happen... the calm will come -
If you want to see a rainbow, you've got to put up with a little rain.
Chin up...
Paddy
