hi angela,
I totally know how you feel. after having four kids in three years i had gained quite a bit of wieght. i battled it for years. I finally one the battle and had gotten down to a nice slim size ( i lost 71 pounds!) so when i quit smoking and gained 16 pounds back (during a failed quit just befor this educated one) i really got depressed
. i wanted to smoke to comfort myself but i knew then i would be 16 pounds heavier and depressed about smoking and being fat! and then i would have to start all over again. so three weeks into my (new and final) quit i have lost 5 of the 16 lbs and im on way down. im very excited!
you gain wieght from eating more not from not smoking. you may eat a little more untill you stop feeling like somethings missing. I finally feel normal. I go to the gym every day and burn calories. when i workout hard i release endorphines which me feel really good. You are doing an amazing thing for your health. you can do this! it will get better. the days when you stop thinking about smoking are just around the corner! you will make it there and you will feel sooooo good. I wasnt sure if i would ever feel better. I missed my smokes so much. but i really finally feel free. you will too! i promise.
I have been quit for 2 Weeks, 6 Days, 14 hours, 2 minutes and 43 seconds (20 days). I have saved $64.84 by not smoking 370 cigarettes. I have saved 1 Day, 6 hours and 50 minutes of my life. My Quit Date: 2/15/2007 12:00 AM
