Angela, you are doing more than okay! Today feels harder than yesterday. It happens. What I like about your post is that your education and determination come shining through. You know that relapse will not make anything better. (Picking up a cigarette is not going to make those 6 pounds go away!) You know that you will get through this and come out on the other side.
You are 14 days into your journey to comfort. Your body and mind are still making adjustments to living without nicotine. The healing process takes time. What I hear in your post is that you are going to give the healing time to happen. Hold tight to your quit, Angela. How you feel at this moment is not how it feels to be a comfortable ex-smoker. It will get better and easier. I promise you that!
Keep reading. Right now education is your best defense against your addiction. The more you learn; the stronger your quit becomes.
Take care,
Parker - 4+ years of freedom and I'm grateful for every day of it!
