Hi Deb, and
Congratualtions on Bronze!!!!
That is HUGE!!!!
Yep, you are officially not a newbie any more. But... there comes a time in every quit where you suddenly realize that ..... you may really, really be doing this. OMG, your "Inner Addict" can just panic at that one.
You see, your Inner Addict has been expecting you to fail, just like all the other times. (There were other times, right? image There certainly were for me! ) And one day ( maybe the three month point? ) she suddenly realizes that you may pull this off... that you might remain free forever, one day at a time. That you actually might Never Take Another Puff. What can an Inner Addict do execpt panic?
I was a month behind OBob... whose article

is a classic. It describes the point where you stop being a smoker who is quitting.... and you start being an ex-smoker who is healing. The difference in attitude and image is all the difference in the world.

Remember your initial reasons for quitting. Remind that Inner Addict that she has gotten quite comfortable without nicotine. Most of the time you probably don't even remember you used to smoke. You are on the verge of winning this Big Time.... and are about to turn that corner.

Again, congratulations on Bronze. You are doing this!
