Hello Beth. To answer your first question and the title of your thread: Yes. I'm afraid you did smell like that. We all did. Will you get used to the smell? Probably. One can get used to almost anything. However, rather than get used to it, you might have a polite talk with hubby about the matter. A little personal hygiene (washing hands and face, brushing teeth, etc.) will knock down a lot of the stench after smoking but won't totally remove it. I always tried to keep my body upwind of the smoke as well.
Of course the best solution is to get hubby to quit again, this time with the education and support available here and at WhyQuit.com. You're setting a great example for him. Anyway, it sounds like he's a reasonable fellow and might be receptive to some simple anti-stink measures. Keep your quit going, keep reading, NTAP and we'll see you at Green soon. Steve 2Y,9M
