Hi Bob,
Welcome!!! I have not smoked in 27 days after a 40 plus year addiction. It is not my first time either - but it is my last time. Just keep reading and take one day at a time. I did find the first two weeks difficult but is easier now - truly. I still feel like smoking but am happy that i am not - and do not have those intense urges anymore.
Your daughter sounds wonderful! The first day that I stopped I went shopping with my daughter-in-law (I do not have a daughter). She stopped smoking about one month before me - and i found it encouraging to have been with her. Had i been alone - i do not know if i would have made it.
I think that this forum is great! People who have quit before me give me encouragement and I hopefully can pass that on to people who quit after me.
You are doing great Bob - it truly does get easier - just never take another puff.
Sharon - Free and Healing for Twenty Seven Days and 3 Hours, while extending my life expectancy 1 Day and 3 Hours, by avoiding the use of 326 nicotine delivery devices that would have cost me $117.31.
