Dear "New Life"-
First off, let me start by saying that I found your first post very moving... it's great that you took the time to pour through your raw emotions the way you did... I guarantee if you are anything like me (and I'm sure several others on this board), you'll refer back to your first post frequenty as a testiment to your quit.

Secondly, as a "newbie" myself, I have absolutely experienced the feelings you relate too- a sense of feeling lost, not knowing who I am or what I should do with myself without my smokes.

What I can offer is a glimpse of what it feels like on the other side once you make it past those initial feelings of confusion and disorientation, and I'm sure you'll find that like I have that it is great being me without the nicotine! And when I say that, I honestly mean it. I've found energy I didn't use to have, a renewed spirit to laugh hard at silly things, and most important to me, I've had a huge reduction in my anxiety level since making it past the first week. Clearly you can appreciate how nice it will be when you find the "new you" too!

You are doing great so keep up the good work. Like all the other members new and old, education is key and the more you read, the more you will be equipped to fend off any challenges you will face during the stages of your quit.

Julie- free and healing for 25 days!
