Hi Drew,
welcome to Freedom! Glad you found us, glad you decided that enough is enough. You have already done it - now stay on top of things! Take it
Please make sure that your wife and you each do your own quit. 1. You have to quit for yourself.
Quitting for others
addresses this issure. 2. You must make sure that you don't become
Quitting buddies
for each other.
Of course it is great that both of you have decided to get rid of nicotine! Just be sure to think of it the right way. It should be a positive way of thinking, and you have to think of yourself first.
A lot of people quit like your wife (including myself): They are ill for a few days and cannot smoke anyway, and then decide to use these few days as a head start into quitting.
Setting Quit Dates
will give you a lot of info on that.
Don't worry:
This is not what not smoking feels like!
Please believe us there. If being quit felt like you are feeling now, no-one would stay quit. We are not a bunch of masochists. Comfort is coming fast, please allow it to settle in. Life is so much better after quitting. You will see - if you NTAP.
