Hi Drew and Welcome to Freedom,
I was about 30 years old when I had my only other successful quit. I quit for about six months, but it didn't last. Now about ten years later, I think back about all that time I could have been quit. I think about the ten years worth of money wasted and added anxiety I encountered because of smoking. At 30, the reasons to quit were not nearly so clear as they are now. At first, I would see these folks on this site who have smoked for 40+ years and felt a little envious that they "got" to smoke longer. But, now I look at you at 30 with all this good information and feel a little envious that you are making the choice to quit so many years earlier than I did. Keep reading here. I thought I really wanted to quit when I found this site, but since I've been reading here that small flicker of want to has turned into a huge bonfire of desire to NTAP. Take care of that quit!
