Your post made me think of a number of strings we have exploring the misperceptions that smokers have when viewing non-smokers and the problems those smokers are going to face throughout their lives because of these misperceptions.
Being tempted watching others smoke
Another slant on how to watch people smoke
"How did we survive back then?"
Is it true that everything smells and tastes better when you quit smoking?
"Boy, do I miss smoking!"
"Quitting Smoking": A Fate Worse than Death?
"How can I get my family and friends to quit smoking?"
Can we help a person quit when they are pretty sure they don't want to quit?
