Antonio,
May I weigh in on this one? I'll be nice, I promise!
It has already been said by others in reply to your question, in short the answer to the question which is the title of your post is:
Yes!
ex hard smoker = no social smoker.
Perhaps one of our math majors can turn that into a postulate. However, without their help it may more appropriately be put like this,
once a nicotine addict, always a nicotine addict.
We are not cured, not after 33 days, not ever. It is a bump in the road we all must drive over, getting accustomed to the idea that addiction is for life. But look on the bright side, you were considering this:
"
Lighting a cigarette so you could deprive yourself of oxygen, take away your ability to smell, burn your clothes, destroy your teeth, harden your arteries, elevate your blood pressure,
daily feed you
4,000+ chemical compounds that include arsenic, ammonia, acetone, formaldehyde, butane, massive doses of carbon monoxide, hydrogen cyanide, methane, stearic acid, vinyl chloride, mercury, and lead, together with 43 known cancer causing agents (one of which is created when nicotine breaks down -
NNK
), before finally killing you with
cancer
, a
stroke
, a
heart attack
or
emphysema
?
"
... But instead you chose to post here. That's a sure sign that you are a nicotine addict,
in recovery
! By the way, congratulations on 33 days - which is darn close to green no matter which month you quit.
