Hi Steve!
And all of you that replied (and otherwise). I feel exactly the same way. It has now been 11 weeks since I smoked that last cigarette. Gordon, I have been procrastinating living my entire life! I now have freedom and life and energy and interest. Smoking had killed almost everything while I wasn't looking!!!
I just took a trip with a friend (by car) to Arizona, stayed with some of my friend's relatives and watched non-stop smoking and drinking for 4 days. Never came close to wanting a smoke ( or a drink). As a smoker, I never went anywhere for very long. Too much energy figuring out my fix schedule, no motivation to do things anymore, etc. I only thought about working again (when I could breath a little) . I can't believe the difference in my life now. I just started a part time job in Westlake Village, CA. I am commuting about 45 minutes each way, but I am not at all tired!!!! Nothing seems to tire me now. What happened to my life while I was so busy sucking on "stupid" sticks? Yeah...what a great parade that would be.
Once again with all my heart, thank you Joel, John, et al. I really can "relax and remain" now.image
