WOW - this post has really hit home with me! I was so "non-confrontational" and emotionally handicapped when I smoked. I dealt with every thing by smoking. When I do not smoke I am forced to be "REAL", deal with my emotions, and handle situations totally different. I can't be like and Ostrich with my head in the sand. I too noticed a lot of changes that had to be made after I quit. If I love myself enough not to smoke and be self destructive, I certainly am not going to let others hurt me. What a catalyst for change. By respecting myself, others are quite surprised by the change when I require respect.
I LOVE THIS POST!!!!
