My emotions seemed to reside right at the surface when I first quit and my brain was adjusting itself to normal levels of dopamine, adreneline, endorphins and other 'response' brain chemicals. A normal state of emotion will settle in as will a sense of overall calmness of mind. Have patience with youself and the pace of healing.
