Thanks for sharing your powerful story, Kughes. I think that a bit of my anger when quitting was mentioned to me while still actively feeding was directed only at me because of my shame in being defeated so many times. You're setting a wonderful example for your mother and you're exactly right to make it your continuing point of focus. You mom is watching and I'm sure inside she is extremely proud of you!
Last March I taught my very first live six session clinic that spanned a period of two weeks. One of my six clinic students was a fifty year smoker. She could barely breathe and we had to stop the entire program more than once as we were all a bit alarmed by the terrible coughing that forced her on one occasion to get up and walk outside. I followed her, stood beside her and tried to help as I could hear every single breath she drew.
I couldn't help her cough a bit that nighton the poarch but over the two weeks that followed and the past ten months she has done an awful lot to help herself. She's amazed at just how much her breathing improved, as am I ! This is an amazing journey in healing we're each on! We're doing great!
By the way, this is one of my favorite Joel articles of all : ))))
