Hello Joel,
I just wanted to give you a personal and warm thank you for this article. I have not smoked for over 3 months and I am still reading articles. I can never get too much knowledge. This article about the stroke really hit home because that is how my grandmother pass away just last September. If only she knew what I know now she probably would of quit earlier. She quit just a little too late when she started developing the early stages of emphysema. From there it just went downhill as she got sicker and sicker. After emphysema, her lungs became full of liquid. To make the long 4 year story short she ended up having a stroke at home. It was too late! The doctors told us even if she would wake up she would have no motor skills on her right side of the body. Afterward the fluid that was in her lungs was cancerous and had spread throughout her body. She passed away just 3 days later. Now that I think about it, my Grandmother was a huge insperation on me quitting. With that in mind, I would like to tell my Grandmother 'thank you' and also thank the freedom family for their knowledge. I'm sure if we all had the experience and knowledge (like we do now) we would not of started smoking in the first place. Everyone makes bad choices, but no mater how hard they are, we can always correct them. Just please don't wait to long. Smoking is not just a bad habbit, it is addictive!
Take all this information with you and remember to never take another puff!image
