Two weeks, two days is fantastic, Gaylo! Yes, this site is an incredible place of understanding. That’s what makes it the best place on earth to quit nicotine. Here, the truth can be found: the good, the bad and the ugly. Fortunately, the good far outweighs the bad. But no matter what, we do get the truth here.
It’s not silly at all that you come here and read something that gives you an “ah ha” moment. That happens to all of us frequently. And the more you read, the more that will happen. It's a good thing. Sometimes I will make a long post, thinking I am the first person in the world to have a particular experience or emotion regarding my quit, only to find out someone else had posted the same or similar sentiments at another place and time. I was beginning to feel like a plagiarist … lol. But that just goes to show the immense level of understanding the members here have. It is a level of understanding that is extremely difficult, if not impossible, to duplicate elsewhere in our lives.
Just yesterday, BillW Gold posted: “ … I've stopped counting.... ... the minutes.... I've stopped counting the hours... I've stopped counting days.. .or weeks.. or even months.... I"m 8 years free, thanks to Freedom.”
It made me realize that I am now at a place in my quit where I am counting months, not days and weeks. And I got here fairly quickly and with relative ease. How cool is it that BillWGold isn’t even counting months anymore? He is marking his years – 8 at that! This is what we have to look forward to! Yippee! Keep reading, then read some more. But if you ever read a post of mine that sounds like somebody elses, please know that I am not a plagiarist ... lol.
