Wilmien,
I remember feeling the same way, mostly in the second week of my quit. Who was I without cigarettes? They've been with me for 37 years! Through all the good and bad, there has been one constant in my life, cigarettes. Until I found Freedom, I didn't think I would (or could) ever give up cigarettes for good. I'd try half heartedly on occasion, but quickly caved every time.  This time has been different.

Whyquit.com is the best thing that ever happened to me, along with the Freedom blogs. It totally changed my thinking, teaching me the Law of Addiction, how to not take another puff - one day at a time, 1=ALL. I've read what other people go through and found a place that addresses every aspect of quitting nicotine. Hang in there. It gets better and better.

I find I can spend more time now away from the computer and still have my knowledge close at hand in my head. I will remember my journey so far and make the choice every day to be an ex-smoker. I will always remember the Law of Addiction and that I cannot take another puff. The Freedom from nicotine is too wonderful!

Take care,

Elizabeth
