I so sympathise with you Sue. It is unfair that this addiction leaves this legacy. I'm a shocking between meal nibbler, so I try to have good stuff on hand. Things that are easily reached for & take no preparation, like cherry tomatoes, grapes, apples, washed & cut celery, diet orange or lemon softdrink, cold lean meats. Tea is good, try different flavours for an afternoon pick-me-up. I have also started walking 30 mins every 2nd day. This has kept the weight under control for the last 5 weeks. We're about to hit summer here so I will start doing laps in the pool too. For me, a bit of exercise is the key (and I do mean "a bit" - I'm not into killing myself at the gym). I could starve myself but unless I move my body I don't lose weight, but that was the same when I was a smoker. Congratulations on hanging in there so long!
