Your dad's comment is a lot like the one I heard from my mother, who had been quit thirty years. At the time, I think I purposely misunderstood what she was really trying to tell me, so I would have yet another excuse to avoid quitting--thinking about it every day for thirty years, why I'd rather smoke!

But all she meant was a fleeting thought, even less than a trigger. I'm about to go double gold and can say, thanks to the education I've garnered from this great site, sure,  I "think" about nicotine but what I think about it now is nearly zero and any of my remaining thoughts about that killer substance can't be printed at a family site. NTAP.

And please don't forget that the oldbies say it gets even better and better. It sure has for me! Great accomplishment, great quit!
