Hello Emmy: Your story indeed brought tears to my eyes and familiarity as well because I continued to smoke after a heart attack and multiple cardiac catheterization and stent implantations.  The good news for both of us is we found a site to educate ourselves with the truth.

I know for me I was desperately searching for a way to quit smoking.  I'm sure you were also.  It never dawned on me that through information I would be able to quit with a stronger attitude than ever before.

You've been through alot, and, you are an exceptionally strong person to have endured all that.

I'm a new-comer here as well, and, I was reading about a month on why-quit first also.  I haven't smoked for almost 7 weeks now, and, for me having smoked 41 years (I'm 56 now), I feel a profound sense of accomplishment because every other time I tried quitting, I never felt any confidence about it.

This time is different.  Because of the information learned, this time I have a better chance.  So do you.  Good luck and it's great having you here.  JoanYellow_butterfly
