I want anyone who is reading this and doubting their ability to become smoke free and live life to the full, that it can be done, if you're on this site you have already read it many times, but this morning I feel renewed energy and exitement at being so free.
I got up, showered - had breakfast!!! something I rarely did!!, took my daughter to school and walked the dog, all before half past 9. In my previous life, I would have got my daughter to school and come home ready to make the most of the empty house smoking smoking smoking, I wouldn't have showered as I would do that later so I didn't stink too much after spending the morning in the garden with my cigarettes - what fun!!
I am nearing 3 months and yesterday reflected on how I used to get rid of all my cigarettes and think if i've not got them I'd be able to not smoke, I used to look into the future and think well I'll have stopped smoking by then and never did... I really thought I was in this prison forever and have finally broken free, because.... its an educated quit, I've taken it a step at a time, baby steps, I have also had the support of this site and the amazing people here - Joel, Joe, Marty, John, Doc as well as fellow quitters, Thank you from the very bottom of my heart - you have given me and many others their life back.
Lucie
