Amazingly, the 5 month date came and went without me noticing - this shows how little time I spend thinking about cigarettes. I do however know the date of my Silver because my quit is so precious to me that 22nd April is there - waiting to be the next milestone to be celebrated.
Spring is coming here in UK, we've had some lovely, if cold days and for the first time in so so many years I feel happy, light and wonderful. Last Saturday, my husband went out for an hour and what did I do? I said "in that case I'll just quickly pop down to the gym", on the way there I realised that in the not too distant past I would have welcomed the opportunity to run outside and smoke away till he returned - leaving just enough time to shower before he got back. I've also taken up my running again and brushed off the cobwebs from my bike and found some wonderful cycle paths.
So.... Whyquit, you have given me back my life in so many ways, I am not killing myself but I am also not wasting precious time lurking in the garden puffing away and I'm discovering things I would not have done before.
Brian, being over 40 too... this weight is not gonna shift as easy eh? but we conquered a huge thing by kicking out smoking from our lives, we can shift a few pounds with the same thoughts - little baby steps, one day at a time and we'll get there.
Love
Lucie 5 months and a couple of days and feeling absolutely AMAZING !!!!!!!!!!!!!1
