I was shaken so badly by the news of Neal, I have thought of him throughout this week, he quit during my own quit and I read his journal as did so many others, I cannot yet put into words how I feel in order to post on his journal, I know how I feel but need to convey the depth of my feelings accuratley, and the influence of Neal, and especially his words........ I cannot begin to explain how I felt when I read my name, beating through the jungle, someone who had never met me, describing me, it affected me then and even more so now.
HOWEVER, to my title - lets have some sunshine in our lives everyone!!! I recently took a group of 40 that is FORTY students to France on a school trip and NOT ONE...... yep NOT A SINGLE STUDENT, AGED BETWEEN 12 AND 16 WERE SMOKERS ok I appreciate that there are still a number of teenage smokers but how wonderful to have a bunch of young people who had not been influenced to take up an addiction which would blight their lives. can I add, these are kids who come from a range of backgrounds, some very troubled so even more of an achievement - the world is changing!!.
Neal you are on my mind every every day, but the future of young people has a glimmer of light which should bring a smile to all our faces,
Lucie
