Dearest Lucie,
It is a joyous occasion to celebrate a 1 year anniversary of freedom! I'm so happy for you, myself, and our families to finally be here, in this place, celebrating our commitment to a life free from nicotine. I know I haven't been around here lately, which is evident in my lack of posts, but I had to come back here and celebrate with you. I couldn't make it on 10/22 to make a post as I was out camping with my son and his scouting troop for the weekend. I did feel as though he and I were celebrating the event as we sat around the campfire telling stories, laughing, and generally having a good time. It seemed only fitting that as he was a major source of inspiration for my quit, that we spend the day having fun! And no, you didn't celebrate alone! I also thought of you on that day as you and a few others were instrumental in shaping the first few days and weeks of the rest of my life. For that, I'm eternally grateful!
Congratulations on your wonderful achievement and I look forward to another nicotine free year. Take care Lucie!
Love,
Brian
