What an 18 months its been and getting better, I am so happy not to be sneaking around, feeling guilty, I am fitter, slimmer, I put on in the first 6 months and then took a year to lose the weight but enjoy lots more exercise and feel great.
I come back here a few times a month to read and I will always be eternally grateful for everyone here, managers and members of the forum.
There have been several news items here in the UK about smoking recently, they are talking about selling cigarettes in plain packaging and under the counter and I saw an interview with a lady who summed it up very clearly, stating that it doesn't matter what its wrapped in, its an addiction and smokers won't care if its plain or not. She also said that its education thats needed, to ensure youngsters don't start, that one cigarette will lead to another and once that happens you are addicted, it only takes one. A few more people pushing for education and not the NHS stop smoking service could really make a difference.
Also, my lovely daughter has stopped completely and totally and of that I am 100% sure because I know the signs, and I am so pleased I wish I had done the same at her age but anyway, I've done it now!!
Life is good, and I waste none of it!
Love
Lucie
