You want to quit smoking? Maybe you're like a lot of us. We've tried every pill, patch or puffer ever invented in an effort to quit. None of it worked. We always ended up back where we started.
What was it about nicotine that had us so hooked? Why were we so enslaved, so compelled to do something that we did not want to do? And the biggest question of all.. How could we put an end to this seemingly insane compulsion to do that which we knew was robbing us of our breath, our finances, our sociability and all too often in the end, our lives?
Desperation drove us to our doctors and pharmacies. "There has to be an easier, softer way," we thought.
Then we stumbled upon whyquit. Maybe through a friend's referral, or an internet search engine.
Some of us arrived full of trepidation. We put on a brave face and jumped in one toe at a time, ready to flee at the first sign of trouble. Others knew minutes into the first Joel Spitzer video they ever saw that they would never put another cigarette between their lips. Eventually, we all fell into lockstep with the simple idea that you're guaranteed success as long as you never take another puff. Nothing else matters.
You can be as cranky or pleasant as you please. Your best friend can get married or pass away. Your old beat up car can break down or your child can give you a grand child. Yes, you can live. Without smoking.
So we hope you join us here. Life is good my friend.
