ZenForce,
Welcome to Freedom and congratulations on 11 days free of nicotine.

When I started my journey, a fellow traveler, JoeJ Free, posted the following in my journal.   I put it on my fridge and read it every day until I had it memorized.  Three hundred days later, it remains on my fridge.  It is a reminder to me of how far I have come.  I hope you find it helpful.

"TRYING to quit" is an concommitted declaration of leaving something behind.
Tell yourself recovery is HARD and unless you're lying, it will be.
Believe your craves to be INTENSE and intense will be the ride.
Ponder excuses for a FIX and you'll eventually get to use them.
If you think you might RELAPSE, then relapse you just might.
If you keep telling yourself you will FAIL, then chances are you will.
If you WANT to be an ex-smoker, your mind has yet to heal.

Allow honest DREAMS to fuel recovery and freedom you shall find.
View this challenge as WONDERFUL and fulfillment will arrive.
See the GLOFY of today, then glory it will be!
Praise the HEALING of your body and set your spirit free.
Inhale the JOYS of today, feel the splendor of the journey.
Yet be TRUTHFUL of the past, to protect the here and now
BELIEVE yourself and ex-smoker, an ex-smoker you shall see.
NEVER take another puff and freedom it will be!

Breathe deep, hug hard, live long! John (Gold x 10)

If you haven't already made a list of why you quit nicotine, do so and keep that list with you. It will help you if you find your journey beginning to get trying. Keep facing the triggers and working through them....you will be surprised how soon each trigger can be nullified. Remember, you only have to do one day at a time.....tell yourself that every morning and every evening bask in the victory of one more day nicotine free. I wish you well with your journey. I can promise you this, IT WILL GET EASIER.

Kathy 300 days nicotine free....doing it one day at a time.
