Hi Paula,

You've shown great courage making it this far. I want to encourage you to hang in there and just take it a day at a time. I'm on Day 18, and I've noticed that things have gotten much better in the last several days. My Day 5 has always been awful in the past, and this time was no different. However, every person's quit is unique. What matters is to repeat to yourself firmly your resolve to NTAP. Also, deep breaths, drinking water, and chewing mint gum have helped me. You must remember that nothing worthwhile is accomplished easily; this takes determination. Also, remind yourself of why you decided to quit, and remember that if you give up your quit, you'll likely find yourself back in the same position of wanting to give up smoking in the future.

I wish you the best ... I know how you feel, and you're not alone! Take comfort in the resources on this website, and from all of us on here who are cheering for you!
