Welcome Cacles!
Hi Cacles,
we are so happy to have you in our family. Continue to read about your addiction, Joel's library - etc - take a peek at some of the old posts on our message board. You are not alone, working through our addiction can take some work. It isn't really hard it is a matter of
understanding
the truth and having the right
mindset
. Look at smoking for what it really is, it cripples and kills...the list goes on and on. One puff is never enough for us addicts so never allow junkie thinking to talk you in to JUST ONE. It is important that you understand that the uneasy feelings are that of a newer quitter, down the line you will have complete comfort. I promise! Keep working through those associations, consider each one defeated a victory and a big step toward freedom. You deserve this, Cacles, your life is worth it. Keep talking to us. It doesn't take long....hold on tight. Stay on this thread for a while so we can keep track of your progress. You can bet we will be watching for you. : )
Take those baby steps and do it just for today...one day at a time! Really pay attention to that concept. It works!
Never another puff...no matter what!
CONGRATULATIONS ON ONE WEEK OF FREEDOM...GREAT WORK : )
Hugs,
Your new friend - Joanne
