Hi Irena - HangTuff Girl.
After reading your story the thought came to mind that
"smoking doesn't solve a crisis - smoking IS a crisis"
Having a cigarette now will do nothing for you - other than make you feel sick and crave another cigarette.
There will be no aaahhhhh feeling, no sense of relief not even any time out...it just doesn't happen. And it certainly will not solve any of the difficulties or fears that you are experiencing.
Once we have Quit - we can fantasise that smoking again is going to solve any problem we have - this is a BIG and often fatal mistake. All that picking up a cigarette will do for you is set you off on the merry go round of active and often fatal addiction. Who wants that?
You don't need it. You are free!
Lets look at the glass as half full instead of half empty:
You are going to this new country as an ex-smoker rather than an addict who is hooked! You are going with your boyfriend to start a new life and be grateful he is willing to support you for awhile until you can get a job! Sounds like a good deal to me.
Oh I just thought of another saying (I'm big on cliches!-))
"crisis is another word for opportunity"
Sounds like a great opportunity to me!
Enjoy it smoke-free!
