Cruella,
I have tried almost all of the ways there are to quit and you probably have too. While this might not be the easiest way to start a quit it certainly is the easiest way in the long run. You just stick it out and do what you can to get through. It gets better. It may get worse before it gets better but it will start to get better soon.
I used to smoke 3 packs a day and I made it through. You will to. You have an investment in this quit now and you would not want to start all over would you? I have a friend who has been trying to quit and every week he starts on Monday and lasts for four or five days and then relapses. Then Monday he goes through it all over again. Trust me.....you DO NOT want to do that.
You will survive....it does get better....you can live with out cigarettes. Trust Me!
