WELCOME
Hi Cruella, a big warm Freedom welcome to you. You made it to the right place for support, this is it. Congratulations on 5 days of freedom, good for you. Take a look at some old posts on this message board, you will find you are not alone in the challenges you now face. The early quit can bring us some trying moments but each of us has the strength to make it. The challenges you face now are nothing to that of a smoking related illness. As Dennis said, it certainly does get better. Down the line you will not even think to smoke, you will have complete comfort. We have been there, understand, and now promise you that your freedom waits ahead. It won't be long! Thank goodness others before us promised us the same thing, now it is your turn and you will be just fine. Read Joel's library on the left navigation bar, understanding your addiction will set you free. Stay focused on the moment and try not to think too far ahead. The thing that helped me the most was working through it one day at a time. I really listened to the meaning of those words. Each day free was its own separate victory. It works as a process and it sure is amazing. Quitting smoking is going to be a wonderful experience for you. Stay close, Cruella, keep talking to us. There is no easy way just the right way and you deserve what goes with it. I think you will actually be surprised - how well it all falls into place. Just a vent here on the board helps ease the pain. Again, it will get better, you must believe that. Hold on tight as the alternative is much too scary, smoking cripples and kills, don't be left behind.
Thanks for being with us, we will be watching for your next post.
Never another puff....no matter what.
Lots of hugs...Joanne
