I just want to point out one thing....
When you walk up to a convienent store... what brands are highlighted on the FRONT door? And as you walk up to pay, what huge signs are behind the clerk? These ads are still out there and still being looked at. By our young crowd. I know this is no way a person can start smoking, but I know that this can contribute to starting. Camels look so sophisticated. Newports seem like so much fun. Marlboro seem so manly. So, what category are you going to be put in? What brand will you chose so that when you tell your peers, "hey, I only smoke ____" What will they think of you?
I gotta admit, I smoked Marlboro lights in the begining, then over to Camel lights, then to a generic brand because the brand I liked were too expensive. But nicotine is nicotine. And I needed it any way possible.
Funny thing is that I said to myself, the day that I have to switch to a generic is the day I quit. There will never be the day I get generic brand smokes.... well, I started smoking generics at 18. I was 16 when I started.
